This page is dedicated to Aragorn, son of Arathorn, Isildur's heir. He is beloved by Arwen, daughter of Elrond, Elfkind, and grew up in Rivendell. He was also loved by Eowyn to whom he said "It is nothing but a shadow and thought that you love." Eowyn was the neice of Theoden (see Eowyn). Aragorn, along with Gimli and Legolas, traveled to the Paths of the Dead and summoned an army of the undead. They had sworn to Isildur they would help, but when Gondor's need was dire, they retreated into their mountains. So Isildur cursed them. Isildur said they would never be at rest until they fulfilled their oath. Later Aragorn went into the mountains and summoned the undead King. "For in our plans the living cannot defend Minas Tirith without the fury of the long dead." Aragorn was despairing when the ghost king came and said "We will serve thee." Nice isn't he? He had just almost killed them in a rockslide of skulls, and then once they made it out he said he would help. In the end of number three he is crowned king of Gondor and marries Arwen.
